Quek, Karen (Founding Member)
Karen is one of the founding members of Young Professional Community, a informal community structure set-up as an extension of Supply Chain Asia. YPC is a channel whereby senior and graduating students as well as young logistics and supply chain professionals can come together to interact with one another.
Karen is currently a graduating student of Temasek Polytechnic, undertaking her diploma in Business, majoring in Logistics & Operations Management. She hopes that her newly acquired knowledge on Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Advanced Supply Chain Management and many others will put her in good position to contribute to the organization she works for when she graduates.
Karen is also the secretary and assistant secretary of Temasek Polytechnic Logistics Interest Group and Temasek Polytechnic Community Service Club respectively. She has displayed leadership quality, which she believes will help her in contributing to the development in this community to achieve its goals and objectives.
During her secondary school years, Karen has held many others leadership positions like being in student council, peer leader and the secretary of St. John Ambulance Brigade.
Having being involved in the Supply Chain Asia Forum Singapore 2007 as a helper, Karen felt that the experience of networking with logistics and supply chain professionals is critical if one wants to succeed in this industry.
Karen who has a good analytical mind possessed good quantitative and analytical skill and is a team player who is able to work independently.
In her free time, Karen enjoys playing the piano, reading industry related articles and interacting with others.
